Gleneagles Golf Course To Close For A Facelift.

The continuing work on the Gleneagles PGA Centenary course before the 2014 Ryder Cup will force its closure for six weeks later this year.

The reshaping and remodelling of the 13th and 14th holes will take place between October and mid-December.

Work has been scheduled for then to allow maximum recovery time so that golfers will enjoy the new holes at the beginning of next season.

Golf events manager Heather Edment said, work will commence on Monday October 3rd. From this day there will be machinary on the 13th and 14th holes and arround other parts of the course. The work areas will be screened off and will not effect play.

Areas will be out of play from october 24th and will mean the course closing from that day and reopening on December 5th.

During the time of the PGA course closure the Kings and Queens courses will operate as normal.
